GUKKAI is a Japanese karaoke community founded in 2006. For 20 years, people have come together through our karaoke events, sharing songs and making connections.
As one of Japan’s long-running karaoke communities, we welcome you into an event that Japanese participants already enjoy. The people who have kept coming—and those joining for the first time—make it what it is.

Do I need to speak Japanese?
No Japanese is required. Our local staff can help with check-in and getting started using simple English. Please tell us in your email if you would like help.
Can I join alone?
Yes. Many participants come alone. Staff can help you get started.
Do I need to be good at singing?
No. Singers of all skill levels are welcome. Enjoy the music, or listen and cheer others on.
Can I sing anime songs?
Yes. Anime songs and J-POP are welcome, along with other genres. Available tracks depend on the karaoke system.
Can tourists join?
Yes. Visitors to Japan and international residents are welcome. Email us to ask about event details and participation conditions.
Where is the event?
Our gatherings take place in Tokyo. The venue depends on the event. Email us with your planned travel dates to ask about joining.
